Will Mahoney-Watson
Will Mahoney-Watson was born and raised in Chicago and moved to the west coast in 1973. Will attended the University of Oregon in Eugene, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and Film.
In 1988, he worked with wife Kimm on producing an edited videotape of the U of O Dance Department's annual performance, "Dance '88!" They have been collaborating on dance videos ever since.
After his sister's suicide in 1998, Will struggled to find a way to cope with his loss and grief. He and Kimm eventually created "A Celebration for the Dead" which was Kinetic Image's first foray into videotaping dance outdoors. Will and Kimm found that creating dances in exotic locations was spiritually and emotionally uplifting, and they have continued to explore their love of movement and nature together ever since.
