Board of Directors
The Kinetic Images Board of Directors plays an active role in KI business and educational development, performance, planning, and fund-raising.
Kinetic Images is currently experiencing dynamic growth. Kimm Mahoney-Watson, President
Kimm Mahoney-Watson made her choreographic debut at the age of eight, and has been making dances ever since. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Dance from the University of Oregon in Eugene.
Kimm was President (and one of the founders) of Discovery Path Community School, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Kimm has also served on the Board of Directors of The Oregon Dance Association for five years, where she held the positions of Vice-President, President and Past-President; The Oregon Alliance of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance; and PortlanDances. She has been on the faculty of Portland Community College since 1995. Kimm teaches Dance (modern, ballet, jazz, tap), T'ai Chi, Mind / Body Education and Pilates.
She is Owner and Studio Director of Pilates Bodies Studio located in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
Kimm started Kinetic Images Dance Company in March, 2000, and continues to direct the Company in her role as President / Artistic Director / Choreographer of Kinetic Images Dance Company, Inc.
Lee Boutell, Director
Lee Boutell recently relocated to Madras, Oregon after living in Eugene, Oregon for 35 years. While in Eugene, Lee served on the steering committee for the popular Eugene Celebration Festival. Lee also wrote comedy for the award-winning program Zap News and served as co-producer of the program for three years.
Originally from Kansas, Lee studied at Kansas State University and earned his Bachelor of Science from Linfield College. Since moving to Madras, Lee has started his own business, Boutell Home Inspections, which serves home buyers all over Central Oregon.
Stacey Giachino, Vice President
Stacey Giachino has significant experience in business development, operations, writing and fund-raising. Stacey moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1991, after spending more than a decade in Los Angeles as a writer / producer of feature films, educational films and music videos. Stacey has worked in telecommunications, pre-paid electronic payment, non-profit, and health care, in positions ranging from Program Coordinator to Senior Vice-President of Business Development.
Stacey has been on the Kinetic Images production crew during live performances since 2001 (box office, catering, house manager, etc.) and on its Board of Directors since 2003. She enjoys combining far-sighted business design with a hands-on approach to production.
Stacey earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Kathryn Mahoney, Treasurer
Kathryn Mahoney (Kit) holds a Master's degree in Administration from the University of California at Davis. She has worked in non-profit administration, contract negotiation and financial management for community service organizations. Most recently, Kit served as Business Manager of the Higher Education Research Institute, a research unit within University of California, Los Angeles.
Kit is an enthusiastic supporter of the performing arts, and has a long-time interest in dance. She has been on the Kinetic Images Board of Directors since 2005.
